I was born and raised in Drammen, Norway. After leaving school, I lived for some years in Switzerland and the USA, and have lived in Germany since 1971. In 1985, I started working as a freelance translator. I maintain close contact with Norway, so my knowledge of the Norwegian language is current and up-to-date.
